The company began its operations in 1961 mainly with the production of ‘Hiromeri’ – Cyprus’ finest delicacy. Later on it started to broaden its product line by introducing more traditional pork products: ‘Lountza’ – Smoked Pork Loin, ‘Posirti’ – Smoked Bacon and the famous Cypriot Traditional Sausages from Pitsilia.
In 1989, Mr. Costas Kyriakides, the founder's son, takes over the organisation with the vision to modernise the company while maintaining the high-quality and authenticity of the products. The idea to build a technologically advanced factory started in the year 2000. After a lot of study and research it finally started in 2004 with an investment of more than one million Euros in buildings, machinery and equipment. The whole project was based on the HACCP system for food hygiene and safety in accordance to the ELOT 1416 standard.
At the same period the company conducts synergies with different distribution channels for the local and international markets. It takes part in many national and European food fairs always achieving high approval from people of all nationalities and professions.
The vision to continue the production of traditional smoked meats under the highest standards for those who seek quality, authenticity and taste continues. The result of it is that we are established as one of the biggest and most technologically advanced smoked meat producers in Cyprus and definitely the biggest in the production of traditional meat products.
